According to Jon Morosi of FoxSports.com, the Astros have acquired LHP Sergio Escalona from the Phillies for second baseman Albert Cartwright.
Escalona has seen limited major league time with the Phillies in 2009. He went 1-0 with a 4.61 ERA and a 1.24 WHIP in 13 2/3 innings. He had a 3.81 ERA and 10 saves in 54 1/3 innings with Double-A Reading last year.
Cartwright has never seen major league time playing with Double-A Corpus Christi last season. He hit .229 with a .289 OBP in 140 at-bats in 2010.
