Ken Rosenthal of FoxSports.com has reported that the Blue Jays have sent outfielder Vernon Wells and his massive contract to the Angels in return for catcher Mike Napoli and outfielder Juan Rivera. It has been speculated that the Blue Jays were going to send money to the Angels as well in the deal, but in the teams announcement of the deal, no cash was included. Wells is due $86 million over the next 4 seasons after signing a huge seven year, $126 million deal in 2006. He waived his no trade clause to approve this deal.

Wells hit .273 with a .331 OBP with 31 homers last season with the Jays.
Napoli is arbitration eligible and has not signed a contract as of yet. He is looking to make around $6 million next season after hitting .238 with a .316 OBP, but is better known for his defensive ability. Rivera will earn $5.25 million next season after hitting .272 with a .323 OBP last season.
