Yankees sign Colon

According to Jon Morosi of Fox Sports, the Yankees have signed pitcher Bartolo Colon to a minor league contract. Buster Olney reports that the deal is worth $900,000 if he makes the team plus incentives. It has been six years since Colon has made 20 starts in the major leagues. He last pitched in 2009 with the White Sox when he posted a 4.19 ERA with a 1.44 WHIP over 12 starts and 62 1/3 innings. He has dealt with many injuries over the last 4 seasons he has pitched in the major leagues. This is a chance the Yankees are willing to take to add some depth to their starting pitching.
