Cubs Sign Soto

According to Gordon Wittenmyer of the Chicago Sun-Times, the Cubs have avoided arbitration with catcher Geovany Soto after agreeing to a one-year $3 million deal. After a down year in 2009, Soto hit .280 with a .393 OBP in 322 at bats in 2010.
